Roku VPN Not Working – Troubleshooting Guide

There are a couple of reasons why your VPN for Roku is not working:

  1. Roku does not support dedicated VPN apps: there is no such Roku device that has built-in support for VPNs, including FastestVPN. This is why you need to add a VPN connection to your Wi-Fi router or create a virtual router via PC or Mac, extending the connection to Roku. However, if you’re using a free VPN, it won’t work. This is why FastestVPN is the best to use for it.
  2. You’re using the wrong server: let’s say you configure the VPN for Roku correctly on your router or compatible device. However, the functionality of it does depend on the server you choose. Not every server works for every task or location, as the laws in countries vary. Try connecting to another VPN server after restarting your VPN.
  3. Check to see if your WiFi is working: at times the issue is not the VPN or the device, it is your internet connection or router issue. Check to see if your router is not burnt out or if the internet signals are full. If not, call your service provider and ask them to check.
  4. Switch VPN protocols: VPN protocols are different and available in variety for a reason. Not every VPN protocol works the same, while some give you slower speeds, etc. Tweak the settings and change your protocols according to your task. Contact the FastestVPN support for better results.
